The Maverick Shawl | DTLA
Posted: Nov 08 2015
I had a chance to spend some time in a gorgeous space in Los Angeles while there this summer, and when the lighting is right, it's hard not to take a few images.
Our Maverick Shawl, seen below, is new this season, and we wanted to introduce a new style that is longer in design and softer to the touch. Diagonally sewn, the rectangular shape is folded so the corners always fall to a point. Wear as a shawl jacket, a long scarf, or wrap as a full scarf for colder days.
We use an abstract woven cotton from France that we love, in our Wingtip Shawl design, and you can check them out here for Fall layering.
I loved being able to shoot the Maverick while on the road, and not only was it a beautifully creative space for designers, photographers, and artists alike, you could tell it held all sorts of stories from the past. I can only hope to find myself in more studios like this in the future.
Thanks to Dillon O'Neal for some of the shots, and for showing us around this beautiful space
